Director

Jumpa director department aku ptg tadi.

No, bukan pasal blog.

Ada dapat 'angpau' bonus free yg dikira secara pro-rated... Alang2 tu dia tanya;

Dir: So how's the job?

Aku: Can-lah. Not so bad since I was from sputter process, so I know some of this stuff-lah.

Dir: So that means that you can cope with the job, right?

Aku: Uhh... Yup, no problem.

Dir: Oklah then.

Dir: I know the bonus is not that much, but you can use that to buy some new clothes for you.

Aku: (Pandang t-shirt kotor aku yg aku 'ter'pakai pi keje ari ni...)

Aku: Oh, okay... Thanks...

Meja dia takde orang duduk, so aku terpaksa rebut ngan lagi 2-3 orang lagi utk amik tempat dia. Ada sorang budak baru tu langsung takde tempat duduk... Wahahaha... Tinami ni nama sama ngan aku, cuma tambah Chong kat blakang.

Then bila dah dapat tempat duduk, supervisor panggil...

Sup:"Before you sit there, there's something very important I have to tell you..."

Aku:"What? I need to pay rent ah?"

Sup:"Nooo... That place is JINXED you know! Got two people that sit at that place already quit, SO DON'T QUIT AH!!???"

Aku:"Ahhh... Sure no problem... Dun worry la..."

(Dalam hati aku, tengah 70-30 pi ke kampeni boss lama aku nun).

Plus last week boss lama dah call... Mintak aku masuk kampeni dia.

Memang minat, tapi last2 kena tengok camne terms dia jugak la.

Btw, minggu depan pi penang utk training. Lepas ni boley curik recipe dan jual kat Eiji-san... Wahhaha....

And tak pasal2 kat jepun depa dah mula start bising Dr. Lee dah pi masuk kampeni aku skarang... He's supposedly in San Jose, California (double pay plak tuh). Nak je call dia pastu soh dia datang mai mesia (or paksa dia buat request utk aku pi ke sana... Chewah!).

Dah2... Cukup berangan2...

TOG

76 hours...Mmg dah agak dah (minus 1-2 hours tersilap level-up character...).

Not an interesting game to play. Lagi suka aku main FFVII CC. Walaupun PSP punya game, still ada cutscene ngan bgm yg best.

Go Square-Enix.

Ettoh... Dah abis main tu satu hal, then kena repeat utk abiskan 'Shin-boss' lagi satu hal. Kekkyoku ada la omake sket tapi ending tetap sama. Tsumaran. Chouuu tsumaran.

Boss-sen pun tak berapa best. Or maybe pasal character aku dah kuat sangat. Ntahlah.

Ingat plak game2 lama kena lawan boss bagak besar gile. FF series dakke na... Baru2 ni Crysis pun ada gak (mezurashiku oubei ge-mu no namae ga detekita). Demo naa... Nanka jimi da na... Kono geemu.

Wii

Hello

Yesterday I came back home and crashed on my bed. I went to sleep around 0.3 seconds after my head was laid on the pillow.

Nobita can actually sleep in mid-air before crashing on his futon.

So I went to the interview. The company seemed nice, although its basically based in an industrial slum (I've seen worse).

The interviewer seemed somewhat neutral and didn't show much expression. Some things I noticed about the interviewer is that he may have been in a rush (Ms. Tuts was interviewed before me), and that he tends to not make eye contact. Maybe its just me, but shouldn't eye contact be something that's required for the client-based service industry?

I think I did well for the interview. But I guess I'll just turn down the offer if I get the job/second interview.

And because of the interview, I got screwed by my supervisor this morning for my 'disappearance' on short notice (We had a critical report to send). Well, in any case I got what I deserved and I'm proud of it! Muhahahaha!

Frankly, I don't give a damn about making mistakes (okay, I might have some damn) for now. I mean, in every new job that anyone gets, there's bound to be a few mistakes here and there.

In fact, this morning I sent an e-mail to a distribution list that wasn't meant to be sent to. Btw, I haven't done this sort of mistake my entire working life.

I would blame my supervisor for not giving enough direction on what to do as she expects me to learn and do on my own (as I'm not a kid anymore), but because I have balls and testosterone, my current direction now is to screw up and let my supervisor do the cleaning (plus the extra nagging I'll be getting from her). Man, this is fun!

But seriously, I really have to re-think of either going into the IT-business or stay in the manufacturing industry. Mr. Yoooooooooooooooooo-saaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!

One of my ex-university friends is now working at a supposedly very famous engineering firm (seems that I'm the only one that doesn't know how 'famous' the company is).

Another one has just joined the government as a contract executive for two years. There's a possibility that she may enter as a permanent executive if she passes the test. InsyaAllah.

In any case, just about all the Ibara-ians are here in KL. From the 2004? batch all the way to 2007. We should do another reunion, but I guess everyone's busy.

Some comments (or frustrations) on working with overly huge companies:
・ Too many people doing too many things = Confusion and expectation of everyone knowing everything about too many things.
・ Multiple 'Proper Format' documentation = No format.
・ No proper direction/standard work method = Subordinates look like they're lost, when they're actually lost.
・ When I say that I understand, does not mean that I understand what you understand. I understand what I'm hearing (not listening) according to your GENERAL explanation of what you understand.
・ People from other countries that doesn't speak english, speak TERRIBLE english. I miss my old kilang kampung. At least I could've spoken in japanese with our counterparts.

Btw, yesterday we had lunch at Kenny's as one of our group members was sent to the US for training. Expenses paid by our supervisor.

Kinda fun.

Today we had our annual lunch at Shogun for the department. Expenses paid by our director.

I sat and ate silently as I still don't know anyone from our department.

When it comes to work, I tend not to mix human relations between work and private life. Its like, "You will only know the 'Working' me".

Sigh... Only a few months left... Must... Endure... And... Extract... What... I... Can... Get...

Petang

Hari2 sebok meng-edit baito kat tempat keje. Buat baito kat tempat keje... Something unthinkable when I was working up north (time tu pun bukannya ada baito).

Petang tadi Mr. Ped antar message:

"Sumannai na... ko tgh garu xxxx ka?"

Aku balas:

"Haah, tengah lap xxxxx antara xxxx ngan xxxx skali. Xxxxx amcam? Ok?"

Ma, time tu tengah sebok gak la.

Btw, sejak kebelakangan ni aku rasa bahasa melayu aku ni semakin merosot. Dame da.

Btw, budak baru yg masuk 2 minggu lagi awal dari aku nak berenti keje. Dah antar resign letter. Kononnya nak tumpu perhatian utk belajar master program (part-time) dia.

It was quitting time and while I was walking back to my car, I called up Mr. Ped.

He's still in Ixxxxl, but he's going to join our old company (sister company), right back where we started. I guess the world does go round.

And because our old company got a two year contract with one of our customers, they're planning to rebuild our old R&D department. Yup, they made the department in 2006, disbanded it in 2009, and rebuilt it in 2010. I'd be willing to go there if I didn't know there were so many other opportunities and paths that I could follow after leaving the old company.

Apparently one of the managers (director? not sure) from our rival was bought by the company and is made as the GM of the department. He's looking for sputter people, so if anyone's interested in living up north with cheap living costs, cheap rents and low wages, please give me a ring.

In any case, I won't be going there again. I've got many things to do over here.

One of my friends introduced me to her company. I'll be going for an interview there tomorrow, just to test the market and see what other fields are available for someone who's as talented as me (chewahh).

I'm still waiting for word from Yo-san on whether his project is a go or not. I think this is the 3rd time I've been waiting for him for career opportunities.

While working on my desk and editing my 'baito', I was thinking that the current company that I'm with is actually a good learning ground for new graduates (and me). Aggressive workstyles, (rather) systematic documentation, broad software usage, analytical reports, global interaction, etc, etc... I think I'd laugh at my old company up north if I joined this company first.

No wonder Mr Jas was complaining on how crappy my first company was.

So I'll be hanging here for a while.
